To be a leading institution in youth empowerment and research, fostering a South-South cooperation approach that is inclusive, sustainable, and equitable within Indonesia.
The Indonesia South-South Foundation (ISSF) was established in response to the growing urgency and opportunities of South-South cooperation, a form of collaboration among developing countries aimed at capacity building, knowledge sharing, and addressing common challenges. Over the past few decades, South-South cooperation has become a cornerstone of global development diplomacy. Unlike traditional top-down cooperation models, it is based on the principles of equality, self-reliance, and mutually beneficial partnerships. Amidst the increasingly complex global landscape, there is an urgent need to strengthen this cooperation to support inclusive and sustainable development. Indonesia, as a developing country with significant economic growth, plays a strategic role in the framework of South-South cooperation.
